Senior Projects
The Island School alumni/ae who participate in our Senior Project Program are those individuals who have an interest in apprenticing with an Island School or CEI staff member on a project or facility specified by the needs on campus. Each senior will be assigned a senior project advisor and receive his/her daily schedule and work guidelines from that staff member. Seniors interns should expect to maintain a full day of work as directed by their advisor and should not regard this internship as a chance to design and execute their own research or independent study. Senior Project interns will live on campus and be active members of our community for the duration of their stay.

Session 2: July 15th-July 29th, 2008
Alumni Summer Work Projects are an opportunity for IS alumni to come back to the Cape and find out what it is like to work behind the scenes. The 2-week programs are focused on manual labor, helping out with visiting programs, maintaining the systems and grounds, and having a lot of fun. If you are interested in jumping into to the grunt work that keeps The Island School and Cape Eleuthera Institute running while connecting with fellow IS alums, please apply for one of the two work projects this summer. The first session will be more focused on running summer programs at the Cape and the second session will be more focused on manual labor. Work days start with morning exercise and generally end around 3pm. Amongst all the hard work there will be plenty of opportunities of fun including ultimate frisbee games, a trip to lighthouse, bonfires, and much more. Applications are limited to alumni that are 18 and older and have graduated from high school. There is a limit of 12 alumni per program and incomplete applications will not be considered.
