CONCHtribution 2012: Look Back, Give Back

The theme for this year’s CONCHtribution campaign is “Look Back, Give Back”. The Island School is constantly growing and changing. It is likely that the campus looks different now than it did when you were a student there, much like how you probably look different from when you were an Island School student. The theme “Look Back, Give Back” encourages alumni to look through old IS photos and email a photo of themselves to alumni@islandschool.org, along with a current photo with a short description of where you are and what you’re doing. The Island School will then post them on our new Pinterest page where alumni can “look back” and be inspired to “give back” to a place that means so much to them. The CONCHtribution campaign is the annual alumni giving campaign that runs each year and raises money for the Cape Eleuthera Foundation’s Annual Fund. This year, CONCHtribution is running from September 22nd-November 30th, 2012. Semester classes compete for the highest participation rate; the winning semester will be inscribed on the Golden Conch, which hangs prominently on our Cape Eleuthera campus.

• All alumni who give a gift of $25 or larger will receive a CONCHtribution 2012 t-shirt! T-shirts will be sent out after the campaign has concluded.

How to CONCHtribute

• ONLINE: Click the Make a Donation button above to be redirected to the Cape Eleuthera Foundation’s PayPal site. At the site enter the donation amount in the box in the top left corner and you can either pay through your PayPal account or by entering your credit card information on the right.
• BY MAIL: Send a check made out to Cape Eleuthera Foundation to:

The Annual Fund helps us expand the education and research programs. Your gift gives us the opportunity to:

• Increase scholarship funds to The Island School and DCMS
• Provide professional development support for our talented faculty, researchers, and staff
• Build ongoing leadership opportunities for alumni
• Improve systems on our campus so we can live more sustainably
• Replace equipment like bikes, kayaks, SCUBA tanks, etc.
• Develop research programs that address our greatest resource challenges
• Be the model that changes the way coastal communities live
