This week, you have the best advisor group in the whole school giving you your weekly update - John's group. This past week has been spent between classes, SCUBA, and Kayaking. Unlike the first kayak group, the second and third Kayakers were rained on for 3 days straight, with no sign of sun. As the students rotated through each activity, the general morale was cheery despite the nasty weather.

Now all 3 groups are SCUBA certified, have had their first leave no trace camping experience (Island School style), and in the meantime have kept up with their classes. The weather for the past few days has been building into a gale, which hit our peninsula full force last night, as well as the third Kayak group who were in tents on a beach.

We are looking forward to a much needed day off on this coming Sunday, as we haven't had much free time since the rotations started.

Our Science projects are starting to evolve into full fledged research(to the excitement of some, but also a lot of hard work). We had some exciting visitors on Saturday night, during the storm; two sailors who were taking a boat from St. Thomas to Nassau. Due to the inclement weather, they pulled into the marina and joined us for dinner. It was nice to see someone new, as we don't get many visitors in these parts.

We (Carly, Adam, Geoff, Mary, and John) love getting letters (as we don't get much time on the phone) and hearing from family and friends back home. We miss you all, but are having a tremendous time. Now some personal messages:

Carly- Hey Harry, Richmond, Mom and Dad, I love you all and miss you a lot! Keep writing me, I love getting mail! Also hey Jeff, Kate, Bonnie, Jen, Lila, Jasmin, Ethan, and Scotty(I'm still winning and I miss the ice cream)! I miss you all and cant wait to see you when I get home! Kate you better be practicing for the Dance Parties!

Mary- Hey Mom, Dad, Lucy, Sara Katherine, and Lucy! (also Jeff) I miss you a lot but I am having a really good time! My kayak trip was awesome!! Adam- Howdy Mom, Dad, Jim, Laura, Becca, Katie, Ryan, Lee, Blake, Pat, and Billy. It is incredible down here. The days are long and the people are some of the nicest I have ever known. Hello to The office and I hope you are all doing well. Try and make it without me but in the mean time you can expect a letter. Also hey, Will, Caleb, Jesse, Katie, and Dustin.

Geoffrey - Hey Mom, Dad, Alexandra, and Madeleine. I'm having a good time down here and the people are great. I hope everything is going good down there and that everyone is doing ok.
