This week was the reunion of all the Island School students (Spring '02). Kayak Four kept it strong and finished their trip on Saturday evening (Yeah Kayak 4!). Meanwhile, SCUBA Four finished out their confined water and rescuedives, and those on academic week held out despite the workload. Sunday was a wonderful dayfilled with Easter candy. Thanks to our faculty members, who labored for hours painting rocks blue, red and green, we were able to have an Easter rock hunt. These rocks were traded in for candy.
However, even better than the hunt, dinner circle Sunday night was filled with surprises - well, one in particular: we were given a day off! Not just any day, April Fools Day! It has been a wonderful day of relaxation, with options to go free diving, play soccer, partake in a comedy improv session and of course, just to relax. Many have been finding themselves busy with something, whether it be lounging on the beach or studying for a science test. But it most certainly has been fun and we have all appreciated it! To wrap up, this week has been wonderful and our community is finally all back together. Also, this week marks our fifth week here at the Island School, which means that it has already been a month - how time does fly! This past weekend was also Homecoming in Rock Sound, a holiday in which all of the people who left the island come back for a rather large celebration. Kayak trips three and four both heard the music from our campsites!
